Dear Friend:

Because of the volume of requests I receive, my staff is authorized to send this response to you. If your request is of a truly personal nature to which this response is inadequate, please accept my apology and write me again with "Vern, this is a second request" in the subject line. Thanks for understanding.

RESPONSE #93 Publicity Ideas for Your Event

Thanks for arranging an important event wopen to the public. You inquire about publicizing it. Here are some suggestions:

1. You can submit information about it for the CRES website calendar by completing this form.
If you have a photo or art work, send it to me directly:   vern@cres.org.

2. Depending on where we are in our schedule for preparing our monthly publication, Many Paths, we may be able to include information about the event in both the printed and PDF editions.

3. You may want to contact the Greater Kansas City Interfaith Council, which CRES spun off in 2005. The Council's web site is http://www.kcinterfaith.org/ and Shannon Clark is the Executive Director, info@kcinterfaith.org.

4. My Wednesday "Faiths and Beliefs" column in The Kansas City Star is often scheduled weeks in advance, and if I am able to write about your event, I will contact you.

5. The faith editor at The Star is Helen Gray, hgray@kcstar.com. Several weeks lead time is appreciated. In addition, there is a faith page calendar, faithcal@kcstar.com.

6. You might want to select some of the groups listed on our "KC Interfaith Opportunities" page, especially the list in section 2.2. They might appreciate knowing about your event and help spread the word.

Thank you for thinking of the many faiths which comprise our community and which can offer insights into the troubling issues and amazing opportunities before us today.
